What is a Santé Fitness Glute Band? 

A fabric hip circle resistance band. Unlike rubber bands, they won't slip, roll or pinch the skin. 

This particular band was designed for lower body workouts focusing on the glutes in particular and has a sufficient amount of resistance that will get you working!

The benefits of a glute band:

  • Not only are they a great tool for home workouts, but they are a fantastic piece of equipment to use in the gym to intensify your workouts and to activate your glutes in different ways. 
  • Using the band is a great way to warm up a strong, but very lazy muscle group prior to resistance workouts. 
  • They can increase your time spent under tension, which is a great way to strengthen your glutes. 
  • They add more variation to your glute lateral training (abduction work) and if you want to grow your glutes it is important to focus on vertical, horizontal and lateral movements! Rule of the thirds. 
  • They can keep form in check. For example, I have used the band to encourage clients to keep their knees pushing outwards on lifts such as the squat and hip thrust. 
  • They are safe to use and ideal for rehab training as well as pre/post-natal fitness. 

If you want stronger, perkier and round glutes I would recommend using a variety of band exercises with heavy compound and isolation lifts.
